About me

My name is Roy Nieterau and I'm a 3D Artist in general, my major skills are in Animation and Technical Directing. At the moment I am a hardworking creative student. I've my own style which I can adept to almost every situation, and if it doesn't work in a situation I'm breakable to be used in totally different projects as well. The things I create cover a broad spectre of styles and include the more cartoony but also more semi-realistic things. At school I've been working on 3D modeling, rigging, animation and even scripting within Maya. The technical skills I have learned in Maya make me suitable as a Technical Director overseeing almost all problems that come across in a project.

After High School I've gone to the Utrecht School of Arts where I've started and still am studying 3D Computer Animation and Visual Effects. Since the age of 14 I've been interested in 3D animations and 2D animations on the big screen. The styles that were possible with 3D animation, also ingame, were the things I really had a passion for. I love watching animations.

My passion in 3D is in Technical Directing / Rigging and Animation. The TD part suits me because I've an indepth knowledge of how the program goes about doing certain operations and how it works behind the scene, besides that I'm able to make a concept work in Maya and get a concept with full power out of the Maya and 3D pipeline. What I love, most of all, is animating. Giving live, getting the audience and telling a story is one of my main goals why this Computer Graphics part of the media world is 'my thing'.
